These Terms and Services govern your use of the CleanMersin website at cleanmersin.com and the way you request information about extended auto warranty plans. They are a website and service agreement. A warranty contract, if you later enter one, is a separate schedule with its own component list, deductible, term, and exclusions. If a sentence in a signed schedule conflicts with a marketing page, the schedule controls the repair. If a sentence on this website conflicts with these terms about the use of the site, these terms control the site.
Please read this page before you send a quote request, a claim question, or an email subscription. If you do not agree, do not use the forms. You may still email info@cleanmersin.com to ask a narrow question, and that email is also handled under these terms.
1. Who we are
CleanMersin provides information about extended auto warranty plans and, when a plan is issued, administers coverage according to the written schedule. We are not a repair facility, a vehicle seller, an insurer of your household, or a roadside club except to the extent a specific schedule includes a roadside benefit. Nothing on this website makes us the owner of your vehicle or the employer of the workshop you choose.
References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean CleanMersin. References to “you” mean the person using the website or, where a plan exists, the agreement holder named on that plan. A shop that writes an estimate is not a party to these website terms unless a separate repair-facility agreement says so.
2. What an auto warranty means here
An extended auto warranty, as we use the phrase, is a service agreement that may pay for certain mechanical or electrical failures of named components, or of components that are not excluded, during a stated term. It is not a promise that the vehicle will never break, and it is not a maintenance plan. Oil changes, tires, brake friction material, wiper blades, alignments, and cosmetic items remain your responsibility unless a sentence in your own schedule says otherwise. Sample prices on the pricing page are illustrations for a typical sedan, not an offer that locks a rate.
Coverage begins on the date the schedule states, usually after a waiting period. Symptoms, warning lights, leaks, or noises that exist on the agreement date are pre-existing and are not eligible. A later, different failure of a different named component can still be eligible. We decide that difference from the estimate, the cause of failure, and the schedule, not from a headline on this website.
3. Eligibility of a vehicle
Not every vehicle can be placed on every plan. Model year, odometer, use, modifications, and existing factory or dealer coverage all matter. Vehicles used for racing, vehicles with a branded or altered odometer that we cannot verify, and vehicles that already show a failure you want the plan to pay are outside the plans described here. Commercial use, ride-for-hire use, and snowplow use are eligible only when the quote says so in writing.
You agree that the details you submit are accurate. If a later claim shows that the odometer, the use, or a modification was misstated in a way that would have changed eligibility, we may decline the claim and, where the schedule allows, cancel the agreement. Honest mistakes that you correct before a failure are handled case by case and are not treated as fraud by default.
4. Quotes, forms, and no online binding
Forms on this website validate what you type and then show a confirmation message. They do not create an account, do not take payment, and do not issue a warranty. A plan exists only when you and CleanMersin have a written schedule that identifies the vehicle, the term, the deductible, the covered components or exclusions, and the price. Email conversations can become part of that record when they confirm those items.
You should not authorize a workshop to perform a disputed repair until you have a written claim decision, unless you are willing to pay for the repair yourself if it is not eligible. A shop’s opinion that “warranty should cover this” is useful information. It is not an approval.
5. Claims
If you hold a plan, a claim should include the agreement number if you have one, the current odometer, a description of the symptom, and the workshop’s estimate with cause and correction. Photos help when a part has been opened. Diagnostic time is eligible only when the schedule says so and, on many plans, only when the diagnosis leads to a covered repair. If the visit ends in maintenance only, you pay the diagnostic fee.
We may ask the workshop to pause before ordering a major assembly. That pause is part of responsible administration, not a refusal. Betterment may apply when a new part improves the vehicle beyond the failed part’s remaining useful life, if your schedule describes betterment. You may use a qualified independent workshop or a franchise center. We may decline a facility that cannot document cause of failure or that refuses to share the estimate.
6. Maintenance duties
You must follow the maintenance stated in the schedule and, where the schedule is silent, the intervals that a reasonable owner of that vehicle would follow for oil, cooling, and transmission fluid. Receipts should show the date, the odometer, and the work. A missed service does not automatically void the entire agreement. A failure caused by the missed service is not covered. Keep records for the life of the plan. If a receipt is lost, other credible proof may be considered, but you carry the burden of showing the service happened.
7. Exclusions you should expect
Unless your schedule expressly includes them, the following are excluded: collision, theft, vandalism, fire, flood, contamination, lack of coolant or lubricant, continued operation after a warning, modifications that affect the failed part, rust and corrosion, glass, body panels, interior trim, upholstery, tires, batteries except where a schedule names a specific battery failure that is not simple wear, and any repair that was underway before the agreement date. Software updates that a manufacturer provides as maintenance are not claims.
Seals, gaskets, and boots are a frequent source of confusion. On CleanMersin powertrain schedules they are eligible when required to complete a covered internal repair, and they are not eligible when the only problem is a seep. Electrical harnesses are eligible only for the section tied to a covered failure when the schedule includes that wiring. Read the page for powertrain protection together with your own schedule.
8. Payment, deductibles, and limits
You pay the price of the plan as the quote states, either over time or for the term, and you pay the deductible for each covered repair visit as the schedule defines a visit. Limits may apply per component, per visit, or in aggregate. Rental or substitute transportation is paid only when the schedule includes it and only within its daily cap. Roadside benefits have distance and event caps. Amounts outside those caps are yours.
If you stop paying an installment plan, coverage can lapse as of the date the schedule describes. A repair that occurs after a lapse is not eligible, even if the symptom began earlier, unless the schedule has a specific rule you can point to. Reinstatement, if offered, may require a new waiting period.
9. Cancellation and transfer
You may ask to cancel by email. Any refund follows the formula in the schedule, which may be pro rata and may include an administrative amount disclosed at purchase. Claims already paid can be deducted from a refund where the schedule allows. We may cancel for nonpayment or for a material misstatement. A cancellation notice explains the reason and the effective date.
Many schedules can transfer to a later private owner of the same vehicle during the term if you request the transfer, the new owner accepts the remaining rules, and any transfer fee in the schedule is paid. Transfer does not restart the waiting period and does not expand the component list. A transfer to a dealer inventory or an auction is allowed only if the schedule says so.
10. Using the website
We grant you a limited, revocable permission to view the pages and to use the forms for personal, non-commercial inquiries about coverage. You may not copy the site into another product, scrape it in bulk, attempt to probe its files, or present our sample rates as your own offer. Trademarks, the CleanMersin name, the shield logo, and the wording of our plan explanations are owned by CleanMersin or used with permission. Sharing a link to a page is welcome. Republishing long sections as your own policy is not.
The site is provided as a static information resource. Features can change, pages can be updated, and sample rates can be replaced without a personal notice to every visitor. An email subscriber may receive a note when sample language changes, which is a courtesy, not a duty to keep a marketing page frozen.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit unlawful, misleading, or abusive content through a form, not to impersonate another driver, and not to send malware or unsolicited advertising to our mailbox. We may ignore messages that have no connection to a vehicle, a plan, or a privacy request. We may keep correspondence needed to document a quote or a complaint.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
If you send a suggestion about plan language or page wording, you allow us to use that suggestion without a duty to pay you or to keep it confidential, unless the message is clearly a personal claim file. Claim files are handled under the privacy policy and are not treated as public feedback. Reviews you ask us to publish may be edited for length and to remove account details.
13. Disclaimers
Information on this website is general education about how CleanMersin plans are structured. It is not a mechanical inspection of your car, not legal advice for a dispute with a workshop, and not a guarantee that a future failure will be paid. Workshops, part quality, and driving conditions are outside our control. To the extent permitted by the rules that apply to you, the website is provided without warranties of uninterrupted access or perfect accuracy of sample figures.
A schedule you actually purchase may include its own warranty of administrative service. That document, not this paragraph, describes remedies if we fail to administer a covered claim correctly.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable rules, CleanMersin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising only from the use of this informational website, including lost time from a form that does not send email. Where a liability relates to an issued plan, the schedule’s limit and the amount of the eligible repair are the boundaries of the obligation, except where a rule forbids that limit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for harm caused by intentional misconduct.
15. Your responsibility to read
You are responsible for reading the schedule before you rely on it, for telling the workshop that a claim is under review, and for keeping copies of approvals. You agree to indemnify CleanMersin against losses that come from a misstatement you make to a shop in our name, or from a repair you authorize after a written decline, except to the extent the loss is caused by our own failure to administer a covered claim.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The version you see when you use the site is the version that applies to that use. A plan already issued keeps the terms that were part of that schedule. Website changes do not quietly rewrite a signed component list. If a change to these website terms is material, the page will say that the terms were updated and will show the current text in full.
17. Privacy
Personal information you type into forms or send by email is handled as described in the privacy policy. That policy is part of the bargain for using the site. Marketing email is optional and can be stopped on the unsubscribe page.
18. How to reach us
Questions about these terms, a quote, or a claim file can be sent to info@cleanmersin.com. Please include the vehicle year and, if you have one, the agreement identifier. Do not send full payment card numbers by ordinary email. We do not publish a street address or a telephone number for this desk. Coverage desk hours are listed in the footer and are the hours when new quote mail is read. Mail that arrives outside those hours is read on the next open day.
These terms are the full website agreement and replace earlier website postings on the same subjects. They do not replace a warranty schedule you have already accepted. If a particular sentence is held unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect. Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of the paragraphs.
